Come meet with Legislators to discuss issues that affect your higher education.

We invite you to the seventh annual University of Washington Lobby Day on February 12th 2008. The Associated Students of the University of Washington (ASUW) and Graduate and Professional Student Senate (GPSS) partner to bring this FREE event. We will be sending UW students to Olympia to talk to legislators about higher education. Students will have pre-scheduled meetings with their home legislator to talk about the issues that really matter to us: the students!. All participants will get free lunch and transportation.

 Goal

To go to Olympia to meet your legislator and impact the future of higher education. Participate in Lobby Day to keep tuition affordable, learn about the lobbying process, have fun and earn prizes.

 Purpose

Higher education in this state is significantly under funded compared to our other peer universities. Have your voice heard and make a difference about tuition and other important issues affecting students. Your participation is extremely important for current and future college students in the state of Washington.

UW Lobby Day 2005 - Educate Us Now or Pay For Us Later
